The Haitian Community Center of the MidWest (HACMI) is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for Haitian immigrants. Our mission is to provide essential resources and support to help individuals and families integrate successfully into their new communities. We envision a vibrant Haitian community that thrives through cultural pride, educational opportunities, and economic empowerment.

We offer a range of services, including job placement assistance, educational programs, and cultural events that celebrate our rich heritage. Our Journey

2005

Foundation

The Haitian Community Center of the MidWest (HACMI) was established with the mission to support Haitian immigrants in their new environment.

2010

First Community Outreach Program

Launched our first community outreach program, providing essential services such as job placement and language classes.

2015

Cultural Festival

Hosted our inaugural Haitian Cultural Festival, celebrating Haitian heritage and fostering community spirit.

2020

Expansion of Services

Expanded our services to include educational scholarships and health awareness programs, reaching more community members than ever before.
